PEC Zwolle, officially known as WEB Prins Hendrik Ende Desespereert Nimmer Combinatie Zwolle, was founded in 1910 in the city of Zwolle, Netherlands. The club's name translates to "Prince Hendrik and Never Despair Combination Zwolle."

In the early 20th century, PEC Zwolle established itself as a prominent club in Dutch football, winning several regional championships. They made their debut in the Eredivisie, the Dutch top tier, in 1978.

Recent Success

PEC Zwolle regained promotion to the Eredivisie in 2012 and enjoyed a period of success in the 2010s. In 2014, they won the KNVB Cup, their first major trophy in club history.

Guided by manager Ron Jans, PEC Zwolle qualified for the UEFA Europa League in the 2015-16 season. They also finished in the top half of the Eredivisie table during this period.

Current Status
